Scratch Built Models Located Down Below

This year’s Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed auction on 14th July 2023 (with a full days viewing on the 13th July), includes a number of models built by renowned master model builder and engineer, the Late Gerald Wingrove MBE.  Ten models in 1:15 scale will be going under the hammer, to include 1930s Alfa Romeo single-seat racers and sports tourers, and luxury open tourers to include a Duesenberg and a 1912 Rolls-Royce 40/50Hp London-Edinburgh ‘The Mystery’. Some models are offered with accompanying scale model engines, also by Gerald Wingrove and two have wooden Master Patterns, alongside two 1:20 scale models of a Lea-Francis Hyper Sports and Emerson Fittipaldi’s 1974 McLaren M23, as well as other miniature model engines, all finely detailed as one would expect from such an accomplished and experienced model-builder. This is an extremely rare opportunity for collectors to acquire ‘A Wingrove’ for their collection.    A total of 156 Lots will be offered in the Automobilia Section of the sale including other scale motoring models and fine Automobilia.
